Open source methodologies can be applied to other things besides software. A recent article describes how these methods are creeping into the journalism establishment. More and more newspapers and magazines are incorporating community-created articles and media into their news products. And Reuters is now partially funding a community journalism experiment, NewAssignment.Net which describes itself as “open-source reporting.”
