Japanese schools say ‘no’ to Windows upgrades

Who: The Japanese public school system. Problem: They have over 400,000 computers that are running Windows 98. So, they are faced with buying hardware upgrades for some of the machines and buying new Windows licensing for all of them. Solution: Switch to Linux. At least, that’s the solution proposed by an education conference in Tokyo last week. You can read the full article for more details.
